Rosemary's First Hunt

This was Rosemary's first time as a hunter in the Inwood Easter Egg Hunt.

She was a natural.  She found so many eggs, we had to sneak them out of her basket and re-hide them for other kids.

Silas, on the other hand, would rather hang out with his friends than find eggs.  (Pictured below with Ulysses and Gabby.)

The video at bottom was taken by our friend David -- you can see the craziness of the hunt's opening seconds.

Rosemary in the Barber's Chair

On Saturday, having accompanied Silas on many trips to Ray's Barbershop, Rosemary finally clambered into the chair herself.

She had her bangs trimmed and was a model customer: Silas never sat so still at this age, and Rosemary never sat so still for her mother's trims.

Henry Hudson Bridge

One of the many trails through Inwood Hill Park takes you right under the Henry Hudson bridge.

From there, it is not far to the bridge's pedestrian walkway.

Silas had walked across the bridge before, but Rosemary never had.

Rosemary loved the wind -- she refused to wear her hat and laughed every time there was a strong gust.

The kids were excited to see Amtrak's Spuytin Duyvil swing bridge in action.
